Now Hitting has been designed as a clearing house of information about the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball club. This site is designed to provide information and news on the Diamondbacks as they begin their quest for a National League Western Division championship. Rather than having to search on multiple web sites to find information about the Diamondbacks, Now Hitting attempts to gather this data to a central location for your enjoyment. The site is a mixture of current information along with historical data covering the Arizona Diamondbacks Major League Baseball franchise.

Diamondbacks Spring TrainingNowHitting.com represents one fan's love affair with baseball. It began when a Major League Baseball franchise was awarded on March 9, 1995. The site chronicles the timeline of bringing baseball to the Phoenix area.  It is a result of countless hours of research to uncover the details about the team, its players, and baseball in general.  We invite you to travel along through the history of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The information and graphics are provided to help you become part of the game. Whether you are a Diamondbacks fan or just someone curious of what baseball in the desert is like, you should find something of interest to you. So we invite you to stop by often and see what's new with this National League West franchise and its fans.

NowHitting is a fan operated web site meaning there are fewer boundaries to what can and cannot be published. This results in a more honest and objective viewpoint when compared to more traditional team coverage.  NowHitting is an open communication tool and users are invited to state their opinions as they feel appropriate.  We will attempt to include various points of view so that the whole story can be told, not just what was in the press release.  So sit back and enjoy NowHitting.  We think you'll agree that it represents baseball for the new millennium.

Chase Field Camera Policy
Written by Jeff Summers

Chase Field Security is enforcing a policy that limits the size and types of cameras that are allowed into the ballpark.  The policy allows still cameras with fixed lenses and those with interchangeable lenses to enter the stadium.  For cameras capable of changing lenses, there is a size stipulation that the lens cannot be longer than 12 inches in length and no more than 4 inches in diameter.  Guests are not allowed to bring any type of camera support system including monopods and tripods.  Video cameras are allowed into the stadium but guests are not allowed to film the playing field or any game action.  Taking video of the teams and/or players is prohibited by Major League Baseball.  The camera policy is to be enforced by all security personnel when guests enter the stadium.  Anyone violating this policy is subject to having their camera equipment confiscated.  Guests can retrieve the non-compliant photography equipment after the game at Guest Relations.  In order to minimize any potential delay in entering the gates of Chase Field, it is recommended that guests review their equipment prior to going to the game to ensure it is in compliance with this policy.

Uniform Rotation Announced
Written by Administrator
During his monthly chat with the fans on March 1, Arizona Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall announced the uniform usage for the team for the 2007 season.  With the new color scheme came 4 new jerseys.  The team will wear the white jersey as the primary home jersey and will wear the gray jersey as the primary away jersey.  With both of these the team will wear the Sedona Red hat with the Sonoran Sand "D" logo.  Saturday home games will feature the team in the alternate black jersey with the black hat with Sedona Red "A" logo.  Sunday home games the team will wear the alternate Sedona Red jersey with the Sedona Red hat with the Sonoran Sand "D" logo.  For away series the team will wear the alternate Sedona Red jersey on Sundays and Tuesdays.  On occasions where their opponent is wearing a red home jersey the Diamondbacks will wear the gray.  This change is a departure from years past when the starting pitcher chose which jersey the team would wear each game.
