At each Arizona Diamondbacks home game there is a Hot Dog race that features Hot Dogs representing Ketchup, Mustard, and Relish. A child is chosen from the crowd to represent each of these condiments. As the gun goes off the kids run in place on top of the Diamondbacks dugout hoping that their hot dog wins. To the victor goes a Circle K prize pack which includes a backpack, T-shirt and other fun prizes. Everyone seated in the section represented by the hot dog wins a free Diamondbacks Dog at participating Circle K stores. Whenever I take one of the kids to the ballpark they always want to know which hot dog won the last race so they can attempt to predict the winner that night. As a result I began tracking this information in my scorebook. I started to get curious if there was a pattern or if one condiment dominated all others. So like any good statistician I decided it would be appropriate to graph the results. Check back often to see how your favorite condiment is doing. |
