Tucson Electric Park, the Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox officially opened on February 28, 1998 at 7:05 PM when the expansion Diamondbacks took the field for the first time in team history to play the White Sox in front of a sold out, standing room only crowd. In the month that followed nearly 200,000 fans poured into this spectacular new stadium to enjoy the fun and relaxation of Spring Training in Tucson. The ballpark features 3,000 lawn seats in the outfield priced very reasonably with a beautiful view of the Catalina Mountains and 3,800 parking spaces on-site. It is also home to the Diamondbacks' AAA affiliate the Tucson Sidewinders. Arizona Diamondbacks Facility
